Freda Simms walks in compassion; not religion, trying to meet the physical, emotional and/or spiritual needs of those she come in contact with, and to promote self-sufficiency. She as helped to support varies community events and Church events. Freda supports her community and manages all of the administrative duties of the program. As a board member in this time of financial challenges, of tuition costs and healthcare and gasoline prices and mortgage, she still find the dollars to donate, and it is truly remarkable. Freda is retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District, in the position of Office Assistant to the dean’s office.

Freda strives to support battered Women crisis intervention to support programs that serve the greater good. Freda received an Associate of Biblical Studies from Christian Leadership University, Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Freda was awarded honors from Great Beginning for Black Babies, Inc.

Freda as give her time as a program provider and outreach sponsor for the last 15 years. She loves teaching and sharing with kids.

Freda Simms has volunteered with several family programs in the community over the last 18 years in Greater Los Angeles area. She come together to network, share experience and professional resources with Bridge the Gap Coalition for the Family which is actively involved in the community.

Freda Simms is the proud Mother of five children John, Calvinsia, Freida, Luctretia and Lakiesha.
